yellow peachy pixie :(

So, this is my card for last week’s Finally Friday:

First off, ick, for some reason, the lighting is making my otherwise very cute girl’s skin tone very yellow. It’s slightly yellowish, but not that yellow in real life! 😦

I used a Stamping Bella Peachy Pixie stamp (from my first batch purchase, and may I say: SO CUTE!!) I (very poorly) colored using my watercolor pencils. I added a bit of sparkle to her wings using a multi-color glitter pen I bought in Japan many moons ago.

I obviously need to work on the coloring, but overall, I am generally pleased with how this card came out. 🙂

Now, I don’t normally re-create cards (because, I never can — it just never turns out right), but, this was such a simple card, I am thinking of recreating it and using different sentiments. But first, I need to learn how to properly color skin tone, so I will be watching this now.

papertrey ink, make it monday (one week late)

Last week, Papertrey Ink had a Make it Monday challenge to reuse the same sentiment from different stamp sets over and over to make a card.  I used that to my advantage for my current challenge to myself.  🙂  So, using the same stamp set from yesterday, I made this card:

I used almost all of the stamps in the set~ 🙂  I used different sentiments, but I think it still works.

Other Products: Pop dots; embroidery thread; DCWV patterned paper; Archival Ink (black); Versafine chalk ink (Ocean depth and Pearlescent sky blue).

I’ve given myself a challenge – to try to use all of my stamps at least once.  So, today starts the beginning of this challenge.  🙂

This card uses a stamp from a Hero Arts clear stamp set (Clear Design Birthday Message):

Other Products: DCWV patterned paper (various collections); cupcake sticker (K&Company); Black Stazon Ink; pop dots; Marvy Uchida (corner punch – used to make scalloped border)

small card

Just my submission for last week’s Finally Friday.  🙂  Just used some patterned paper (mostly DCWV, various collections) and a bit of ribbon to create that block of patterned paper on the bottom.  I did a bit of stamping on the inside (stamped “hello” with a Stampendous Stamp).

Other Products: Scrapbook Adhesives (3-D foam squares); Making Memories border punch; Recollections (pearl stickers); Marvy Uchida (1 inch circle punch); Embossing pen/white embossing powder; K&Company Die-cuts (hearts).
